What is a web page?
A web page is a page of information that is displayed through a web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer). Each page will have a unique address on the Internet. This address can sometimes be confused with an email address, but they are very different. A full web page address could look like this: http://www.alignafrica.com or http://www.anymail.co.za. Since there are so many pages on the Internet, looking for something specific can become quite difficult. That is why websites known as 'search engines' were developed and are vital to effectively using the Internet. A search engine does the searching for you.
